THISTLE GLASGOW

Today was a very long day but again the scenery was great and we went from one country to another (England to Scotland!)
We have had the same bus driver for the trip but last night he had to go to hospital and today our tour guide was in a panic trying to get another diver to keep us to schedule. It worked out ok as we walked easily down to the Beatles exhibition and by the time we got out a bus was waiting.
The exhibition was terrific, don’t think Henry learnt anything her didn’t know already but the way everything was presented was enjoyable.

Next we drove through the Lakes District. I had heard it was beautiful and it certainly is. We stopped in Grasmere a lovely village.

Next we went to Gretna Green and there was a wedding there! It certainly is designed to get you to spend money with lots shops selling Scottish gear (especially foods).
We are staying in Glasgow in a hotel. Everyone seems tired tonight, but still lively conversation at dinner!
