TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND - DUBLIN- NORTH WALES - LIVERPOOL ENGLAND

" Back across the Irish sea for a photo stop at tongue-twisting Llanfair on the welsh Isle of anglesey, a scenic drive through Snowdonia National park, over spectacular Llanberis Pass, and via pretty Betws-y-Coed to Liverpool."

NOVOTEL LIVERPOOL

Today was a big travel day and very tiring because we had to be on the road by 5.50am, to catch the ferry across the Irish sea to Wales (for only a few hours) and then on to Liverpool.

The crossing was smooth and then we drove on to the welsh town with the longest name (see photo).

The next part of the drive was spectacular scenery. We had in fact many years ago been here with Hazel and I remembered the narrow winding roads and spectacular scenery.

When we got to Liverpool Henry took off for an afternoon walk and I had a rest as I have a bit of a cold coming on!
Henry was ecstatic (another one off the bucket list…) found the Cavern Club, and went inside.

When he returned he had found a Lebanese restaurant and it was nice to have a dinner without potatoes…but also (sadly) without Guinness!
